Highly recommend the Monkeypod Kitchen and I cannot wait to get my little fat butt back over there soon.M/s. This is one of the best pieces of pie I have ever had on Oahu. Ended the meal with a slice of the house made Strawberry Pie ($4 Happy Hour). Locally made saimin noodles with broccoli, bean sprouts, onion and fresh cilantro. The Dry Mien Noodle Dish ($6.50 Happy Hour) was a nice surprise. The Wood Roasted Chicken Wings ($7 Happy Hour) were a big hit too. Kiawe roasted squash in pasta with a toasted walnut sage pesto. The Pumpkin Patch Ravioli ($5.50 Happy Hour) was perfection. Loved the salsa and locally grown fresh cilantro. Topped with cabbage, tomato salsa and avocado creme. They serve up three nice tacos filled with local fish dusted in Cajun seasoning. The Fresh Fish Tacos ($8.50 Happy Hour) were really good. Fresh tomatoes, basil and sauce on a thin crust just they way I like it. The Margherita Pizza ($7 Happy Hour) was also delicious. Infused with Truffle Oil that makes these one of my favorites. ![]() Perfectly seasoned with salt and lots of garlic. The Garlic Truffle Oil French Fries ($4 Happy Hour) are addicting. Nice pieces of Kona lobster and a hint of truffle oil. The Bourgeois Pizza ($24.95) is a Lobster Pizza. Loved the Poke Tacos ($17.95) These miniature little tacos are filled with sushi grade Ahi Tuna and topped with an avocado creme sauce. I can honestly say that every single dish that we tried here was good. These are rockin prices for a resort community and the food is much better than what you get at Disney's Aulani which is across the street. All appetizers with exception of the Raw Bar and Poke Tacos are 50% off and Pizza's are only $9 excluding the lobster pizza. Fu-ful tourists drinks are $8 and wine is $6 per glass. From 3:00 to 5:30 you can get beers that normally cost $7 to $9 for $4.75. The Happy Hour here may just help revive Hawaii's non Happy Hour crowd. I also hear that the place really heats up at night with live music. The food, ambiance and service are all good. This place is hot and I expect it to stay hot for many years. The two story restaurant is huge and features a large bar, indoor seating and a large outdoor patio that is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails and pupu's. ![]() The Monkeypod Kitchen is located on the 10th hole of the Ko"olina golf course. Locals and tourists have been waiting for something new to excite this resort community that has been dominated by Roy's for so many years. The buzz around Ko'Olina is that the Monkeypod Kitchen is the "the place" to be at Happy Hour. ![]()
